General Admission Considerations
Prospective residents meet these expectations:
- Age 18 or older
- Appropriate for the available gender-specific home
- Substance-free before entry
- Completion of detoxification when clinically necessary
- Completion of or transition from an appropriate substance use treatment setting when applicable
- Valid identification
- Verifiable income, employment, benefits, family support, sponsorship, or another lawful payment arrangement
- Willingness to seek or maintain employment, education, or another approved productive activity
- Willingness to comply with testing, curfews, house meetings, peer-support participation, accountability check-ins, and house rules
- Ability to live safely and independently in a shared residential environment
- Completion of the Harborstone screening process
- Background screening
- Availability within the appropriate home
- Final approval based on resident and household fit
